For Flight, Engine, Glider, Parachuting and Gliding lovers. Avio superficie of Caiolo, has always carried out it business by mostly using gliding and motor aircrafts. Some courses for achieving a gliding licence were organized in Caiolo thanks to the collaboration of Aeroclub of Alzate Brianza.

 

The aircrafts which are currently at the disposal of members are a towing aircraft, two gliders, a VDS Virus Pipistrel powered glider and a P92 Tecnam for school activities. During its business Aeroclub of Sondrio has organized several events, including an Italian championship aerobatic show and an International show for motor flying pilots in the mountains.

 

The flight school of Aero Club Sondrio is one of three most prestigious schools in Italy as far as teaching and flying techniques in the alpine environment are concerned, twinned with Aeroclub of Sindelfingen, Aeroclub of Bologna and Domodossola Masera.

 

This reputation has allowed a collaboration with prestigious German Gliding School of Oerlinghausen, which has been using Avio superfice Caiolo’s spaces for more than a decade and the facilities of Aeroclub to carry out internships from March to May.
